Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire emerged victorious at the Indian box office in the first week of theatrical run, surpassing the competition from Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon-starrer Crew.

The monsterverse spectacle amassed an impressive Rs 58.25 crore nett in its debut week, overshadowing the Rs 43.76 crore nett garnered by the Bollywood heist comedy, as per trade figures.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire registered an opening-day collection of Rs 13.25 crore and maintained strong double-digit earnings throughout its opening weekend — Rs 12.25 crore nett on Saturday and Rs 13.5 crore nett on Sunday.

However, the numbers experienced a dip during the weekdays, adding Rs 15.5 crore nett to the film’s earnings from Monday to Wednesday. Thursday marked a significant drop with collections dipping below the Rs 5 crore mark, recording around Rs 3.75 crore nett.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is having a dream run at the box office globally, having minted USD 214 million worldwide. This includes USD 99 million in North America and an additional USD 115 million from the international markets.

Rajesh A Krishnan’s Crew began its box office journey with an opening of Rs 9.25 crore nett. It added Rs 20.25 crore nett to its collection over the weekend. The heist comedy went on to min Rs 14.25 crore nett during the weekdays.
