For creative professionals, Apple has something massive to offer — a new Final Cut Camera app for iPhone and iPad that can take video and stream it live back to an iPad for a multicam shoot.
It’s a move in the right direction towards giving filmmakers more power. From the command post, directors can remotely direct each video angle and dial in exposure, white balance, focus, and more, all within the Final Cut Camera app.
The new companion app lets users connect multiple iPhones or iPads and Final Cut Pro automatically transfers and syncs each live multicam angle so you easily shift from production to editing.
The new Final Cut Camera is launching alongside the updated Final Cut 2 app, a successor to last year’s debut Final Cut for iPad.

Picture: AppleMeanwhile, in the next version of Logic Pro, Apple has added new AI-generated bass and keyboard instruments, building on the app’s automated drummer. There is also a new Stem Splitter feature, which uses AI to break out recordings into four parts: drums, bass, vocals and “other instruments” using on-device AI. And the new ChromaGlow feature allows users to dial in the perfect tone and choose from five different saturation styles to add ultra-realistic warmth to tracks.
