Fur Elise or Bagatelle No. 25 for musicians, is one of the most popular and soothing pieces by music stalwart Ludwig van Beethoven. The piece that was not published during Beethoven’s lifetime and was unearthed 40-years after his demise, has been covered by several musicians across the globe — on piano and other musical instruments.

Adding to the covers of Fur Elise is a unique take by an Indian musician Shradha Ganesh whose vocal prowess has given the iconic piece a different dimension. Shradha has tried the composition in Swaram, and the Indian Classical take has become a beautiful experience — something that you can’t tune in to just once. “...here is another experimentation of an extremely popular western classical piece by Beethoven, ‘Fur Elise’ in Swaram, with the developing of the motivic idea, transitioning to standard swaram improv and back into the main melody…” shared the musician, taking music aficionados through her treatment to the piece.
